Marina Vrzalkovski
Director of Education
With her initiative and drive, Marina is a Swiss Army knife of experience.
Architecture, interiors, design, estimating, business development, marketing, municipal affairs, project management, business strategy, policy & procedures, sustainability, carbon impacts, and corporate advisor.. to name a few!
She led a team focused on driving the industry toward change and innovation in prefabricated building envelope performance and modular construction.
Most recently, she sits on the board of the WPNA a community group in the most active district of the country. They work with the City, Planners, Architects and Developers to improve urban design and public amenities while respecting the rich heritage of Toronto. The focus is especially on ensuring that new development and public initiatives contribute to the form and character of the neighborhood.
If you ask Marina what has been the most challenging and rewarding part of her career to date? She answers with “Being a Mom. Something I always rolled my eyes at when I heard it. But you don’t get it, until you get it! When you’re in the trenches and realize all-nighter assignments, tight timeline proposals and difficult clients were a piece of cake. If you can manage toddlers you can manage a company, If you can get them to eat vegetables, then you’re a change management expert!”
We are delighted to have her experience and energy on the team of NextGen Board Members.
